About

BirdLife Israel, founded in 1980, is part of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) and works to protect birds and their habitats along the African-Eurasian Flyway. Education about nature conservation and bird species is a core part of their mission.

This project reimagines their visual and digital identity to make learning about birds and conservation more engaging and accessible. It features a new nature-inspired logo, playful illustrations, and an intuitive user experience for all ages.

The Concept

Engaging a broad audience, including young users and non-experts, the site combines simplicity with discovery. An illustrated, clickable homepage encourages exploration of different bird species, while interactive tools like a bird quiz and bird identification guide inspire curiosity and a deeper connection to nature.

Brand Identity and Design

The logo was designed using the white-throated kingfisher, chosen for its vibrant colors and strong connection to Israel’s wildlife and conservation. The blue tone reflects both Israel (colors of the flag) and the bird, while an earthy palette emphasizes the connection to nature.
